adaptation
modification of an organism or its parts that makes it more fit for existence under the conditions of its environment
Aerobic
relating to, involving, or requiring free oxygen.
Anaerobic
relating to, involving, or requiring an absence of free oxygen.
Atrophy
waste away, especially as a result of the degeneration of cells, or become vestigial during evolution.
Cardiovascular endurance
how well your heart and lungs can supply the oxygen you need while you exercise at medium to high intensity.
Cool down
to bring the body back to its normal physiological level after fast, vigorous exercise or activity by gradually slowing the pace of activity or by doing gentle exercises or stretches.
Delayed onset muscle soreness (D.O.M.S)
the pain and stiffness felt in muscles after unaccustomed or strenuous exercise
Diminishing Return
proportionally smaller profits or benefits derived from something as more money or energy is invested in it.
Exercise heart rate
measures how fast the heart is beating while they exercise
Exercise plateau
a leveling off of your strength progress that occurs around 4-6 months into a routine

the act of repeating, or doing, saying, or writing something again;
Resting heart rate
60 to 100 beats per minute.
Warm-up
a period or act of preparation for a game, performance, or exercise session, involving gentle exercise or practice.
