Feedback could be nonverbal (smiles, frowns, sighs) or oral. In many cases no message is also feedback.

Diane is the sender who wishes to channel a message to Danielle in person. Diane is concern for Danielle’s safety. Diane verbally encodes this message, “Danielle, please be careful and slow down. I don’t want you to get hurt, I love you too much.” Danielle is the receiver and decode Diane’s message. She understands that Diane loves her very much and concern about her well-being. Danielle gives Diane a non-verbal feedback response by smiling and nodding.
