The UNHINGED TikTok-ification of plastic surgeries…
so today we have another
beauty-related video but in a different way
video nói về chủ đề thẩm mỹ nhưng lại theo kiểu khác
it's sth I'm really concerned about and I have been for a while
là 1 chủ đề tôi luôn suy nghĩ về và đã suy nghĩ rất lâu rồi
and I don't want this
I have one disclaimer I guess
1 có 1 lưu ý nhỏ tôi đoán thề
before we get into this video
trước khi chúng ta vào video
I have nothing against plastic sugery
tôi không có phản đối chuyện pttm
cosmetic procedures
I've had lip filler in the past
tôi từng tiêm môi trong qk
and I didn't get it redone
và tôi ko có làm lại
so that whatever is left
vậy nên đó là tất cả còn sót lại
I guess 3 years 4 years later then
tôi đoán cái đó khoảng tầm 3,4 năm
that's whatever left
I've had my teeth whitened
làm trắng răng
Idk there's just like things that you can do
chỉ là có 1 số thứ bạn có thể làm
to obviously make yourself feel better
or look better
whatever it is
right
objectively subjectively the whole lot
and I don't this to turn into a bashing off plastic surgery
and cosmetic procedures
I think it's more
a discussion of the normalization of those things
and make them seem like something
a lot lighter and less serious
than what it actually is
and I just wanna go back
not to the times where we would shame plastic surgery
cosmetic procedures
but to the time where we
realized that they were quite serious decision
that you would have to make
and it would be a financial investment
that you have to
save up for
or take a loan out for
or whatever it is
and instead of it being
this kind of
popping on your lunch break
without thinking about it
because
everyone else is doing it
so I guess that's just my whole idea on this
and I think
plastic sugery and cosmetic procedures
have severely affected the way we
even
interact with makeup content
we used to all wear liquid lipstick
because that's what all
the beauty gurus told us to do
that was the trendy thing
that became trendy
all the beauty companies
were releasing
liquid lipstick
but why did they never look good on us
but they always looked good on the beauty influences
well because that they all had lip filler
lip filler adds hyalunoric acid to your lips
which
basically moisturizes them
nourishes them
makes them look less dry
and you have none of those lines
because it's all filled in
and so then on anyone
without lip filler
that don't look good
that was partly the time when I noticed that like
there was something wrong with my lips
and I ended up getting my lips done at
I think 20 or 21
and I didn't really like the way it looked
and so then I just never got it done again
cuz I just don't think I actually
wanted my lips to be bigger
I think I just wanted them to
look more plump
and like the way it looked
in those videos
instead of
