Aperture
the size of the opening in your camera's lens, determines how much light enters the camera and hits the image sensor.
Depth of Field
How much of your image is in focus.
Level Horizon
Align the horizon with one of the horizontal lines in the grid.
Negative Space
The empty space around and between the subject of an image.
F-Stop
The aperture measurements of your camera (focal length). How much light you allow to hit the image sensor via the aperture opening.
Focus
The process of making adjustments to the lens to find the maximum resolution sharpness and contrast for your chosen subject.
Rule of Thirds
A composition guideline that places your subject in the left or right third of an image, leaving the other two thirds more open.
DSLR
Digital single-lens reflex camera.
Candid
A photograph captured without creating a posed appearance.
Exposure
The overall brightness or darkness of a photograph.
Composition
How the elements of a photo are arranged.
Subject
The object that is shown in the image, the focal point.
