What a new study suggests?

  • Suggest beta-blockers do NOT benefit pts with preserve ejection fraction who got a stent or had bypass surgery after a heart attack
  • Suggest that taking bisoprolol or metoprolol succinate for 3.5 years doesn't reduce risk of death, heart attack, or hospitalization

  • Taper down over 1-3 weeks...to possible decrease risk of angina
