All three held resentment from the allies after WW1. All three countries wanted to expand and felt that their people were superior. Germany wanted to do this by expanding as much as possible to increase the Aryan population. Italy wanted to rebuild the Roman Empire. Japan wanted to take over all of Asia.

Operation Sea lion was Hitler's plan to invade the Uk. It started with the Luftwaffe bombing the RAF however wen the RAF accidentally bombed Berlin Hitler got really mad and focused all of the attacks on London allowing the RAF to rebuild its forces and defeat the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain.

Opperation Barbarossa was Hitlers plan to invade the USSR. It failed because Hitler wanted to do a show of force sweeping all across Russia but this spread his forces too thin and caused the attack to fail as winter set in and Stalin brought in Siberian troops to fight in the winter.

Peral harbor was the attack mad by the Japanese of the American Naval base Peral Harbor. It happened December 7 1942 in peral harbour Hawaii. The Japanese did this as a show of force to try to keep america out of the war. The result was america joining the war.
